Dorando calls London

The famous silver cup, the tribute that Queen Alexander of England awarded personally to Dorando Pietri during a special ceremony held the day after the race, is currently kept in the safe at the Carpi branch of Unicredit. In 2008, it will travel to London, for the Flora London Marathon, whose organisers have shown a keen interest in playing a leading role in the Centenary celebrations.
